Prince Andrew showed up sharing his pain as he paid a heartbreaking tribute to his mother, Queen Elizabeth II.
The Duke of York seemed devastated by the loss of everything, saying: “Mommy, your love for your son, your compassion, your care, your confidence, I will keep forever.”
The late queen’s favorite child, who is no longer a working member of the royal family, accompanied his heartfelt statement with a black-and-white image of his mother holding him as a baby in March 1960, making people weep in emotional respect for the extraordinary woman.
Andrew said he would miss the late monarch’s “insights, advice and humor”, saying that he “found your knowledge and wisdom to be limitless”.
“Dear mother, mother, your majesty, three in one. Your Majesty, it has been my honor and privilege to serve you,” Andrew said.
He continued: “Mother of the Nation, your devotion and personal service to our nation is unique and unrepeatable; your people show their love and respect in so many ways, and I know you’re eager to pay your respects.”
Prince Andrews’ touching and heartbreaking statement melted many hearts when he added: “Mommy, your love for your son, your compassion, your care, your confidence, I will treasure forever. I found your knowledge and wisdom limitless, limitless or containment.”
“I will miss your ideas, advice and humor. As our book of experience closes another opens and I will always hold you close to my heart with my deepest love and gratitude and I will happily enter the next one with you as my guide.
“God save the king.”
Prince Andrew also prayed for the success and long life of his elder brother King Charles III.
