Proud: Cate Blanchett looked every inch a loving mother on Saturday when she was joined by her seven-year-old daughter Edith at the 79th Venice International Film Festival.
Kate looked the epitome of elegance in a chic one-shoulder ensemble.
The Australian film star wore a black dress as the stars paid their respects to Queen Elizabeth II after her death.
Kate showed off her tiny waist in a fitted dress that fell to the floor with a flowy A-line skirt and a chiffon cape.
She styled her blond curls in a chic hairstyle and complemented her look with massive silver jewelry.
Meanwhile, her adorable daughter Edith was all style, in a charcoal velvet dress and a pair of chic sandals, as she joined her famous mom for one of the world’s most famous film festivals.
Congratulations! The Don’t Look Up star, 53, had much to smile about the night she won the Coppa Volpi for Best Actress for Tar.
The Oscar winner was recently spotted filming the new AppleTV+ show Disclaimer in Notting Hill.
Along with Sacha Baron Cohen, Hoyeon, Kevin Kline and Cody Smith-McPhee, she will star in a new series from writer/director Alfonso Cuarón (Gravity, Roma).
The show is based on the 2016 novel of the same name by Rene Knight, which follows Blanchett’s character, Katherine Ravenscroft.
Grandmother: Kate’s mother, June, was also in attendance, drawing attention in a floral blazer as she courted Edith while her Hollywood megastar daughter performed her movie star duties.
Mother-daughter: Kate looked elegant at night, stunning with a chic one-shoulder ensemble, while Edith looked adorable in a dark gray velvet dress.
Katherine has been described as a “successful and respected television documentary journalist” who has built a career on solving the crimes of her beloved institutions.
Her entire world is turned upside down when she receives a mysterious widower’s novel (Kline), which features her as the protagonist and uncovers a secret she’s long hoped was buried in the past.
The only person who knew this secret – or so she thought – is dead as she faces the truth about that terrible and fateful day.
Shine: Kate wore her blonde locks in a chic updo and opted to complete her look with lots of chunky silver jewelry.
Hoyoung plays a character named Kim, who is described as “ambitious, hard-working, and eager to please.”
She starts working for Blanche’s character in some capacity, and she knows that “working for Ravenscroft will be her big break.”
Cuarón is producing through his company Esperanto Filmoj along with Blanchett, Anonymous Content’s David Levine, Gabriella Rodriguez and Don Olmstead.
The late Steve Golin will be listed as executive producer, while Cuarón’s longtime collaborator Emmanuel Lubezki will serve as director of photography alongside Bruno Delbonnel.
There is no indication of when Apple TV Plus can expect the release of the project.
